Apple just announces the new series of iPhones dubbed as iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. The iPhone XS and XS Max boast are boasted an OLED panel, while, the iPhone XR uses a traditional LCD display on the front. The iPhone XR basically is a sequel of iPhone 8 with a larger display. On the other hand, XS and XS Max are successors of last year’s iPhone X, which changed the industry with a new look and next level of hardware-based facial recognition authentication.
iPhone XS and XS Max Specifications
Apple iPhone XS comes with a 5.8-inch 1125 x 2436 pixels Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, while, the iPhone XS Max boasts a comparatively larger 6.5-inch OLED panel at 1242 x 2688 pixels Full HD+ resolutions with same PPI. These panels also support HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Both the handsets are powered by the company’s latest Apple A12 Bionic Hexa-Core chip with having a 4 core GPU integrated for graphics-intensive tasks. Unsurprisingly, the new chip employs the 7nm architecture, 2nd after Kirin 980 which also built on the 7nm process.
The Optics department is managed by a dual 12MP sensors, Primary with 12 MP, f/1.8, 28mm, 1.4µm sensor size, OIS, PDAF, whereas, second is a telephoto lens with 12 MP, f/2.4, 52mm, 1.0µm sensor size, OIS, PDAF, and 2x optical zoom. The iPhone XR features a 6.1-inch 822 x 1,792 pixels HD+ LCD display and It is also powered by Apple A12 Hexa-Core chip built on 7nm architecture. The device utilizes a single 12MP, f/1.8 aperture rear camera, which is actually the same module used on iPhone XS and XS Max. The front side also has the similar 7MP shooter for selfies. As far as storage is concerned, it comes with three variants: 64/128/256GB paired with 3GB of RAM.
The device is IP67 certified to protect it against water and dust. It measures 150.9 x 75.7 x 8.3 mm and weighs 194 grams. Furthermore, all the three iPhones run on iOS 12 out of the box. The low configuration iPhone XR also supports the Face ID.

The iPhone XS 64GB price starts at $999 (Approx. 71,900 INR), the bigger iPhone XS Max 64GB variant costs $1,099 (Approx. 79,000 INR). Both will go on pre-order on September 14 with release date September 21 and arrive in Black, Gold, and Silver color options. Further, the less expensive iPhone XR is priced at $749 which translated into 54,000 INR and offers Black, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Coral color options. It will start pre-ordering on October 19 and will start shipping from October 26.
