Meizu 16X has been subject of many leaks and rumors since the launch of Meizu 16 and 16 Plus. Finally, the company officially confirmed that the device will be launched on September 19 in China. Yesterday, we had reported about the entry of Xiaomi’s Mi 8 Youth and this is a true rival of Xiaomi machine. Interestingly, both the devices are making their debut on the same day.
Thanks to the TEENA listing, we have almost confirmed specs of Meizu 16X. The device features a 6-inch 1080 x 2160 pixels Full HD+ AMOLED display on the front. The handset is powered by 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, most probably Snapdragon 710 paired with Adreno 616 GPU. It has a 3,000 mAh battery, comparatively smaller then Mi 8 Youth. The device will boast a dual 20MP + 12MP rear cameras, while, on the front, it has a 20MP shooter for selfies.
The Meizu 16X measures 151.2 x 73.6 x 7.5 mm and weighs 154 grams. It runs on Android Oreo 8.1 coupled with 64GB internal storage and 6GB of RAM. The device will include Matte Black, Ceramic White, and Frosted Gold color options. Comparing with it Mi 8 Youth, Both the devices seem equally good at least on paper, But it will be interesting to see at which price point both the smartphones will be placed.
